Art Lessons Miami

If you’ve been meaning to sign your child up for art lessons but the thought of fighting Miami traffic twice a week makes it feel not worth it — we get it. Or maybe you’re an adult who keeps saying you’ll finally try painting “someday,” but a formal class feels like too big a commitment. Either way, we come to you. Maria’s Art Lessons is a fully mobile, in-home art instruction service serving families and adults across Miami, so there’s no commute, no studio to find, and nothing to figure out before the first session.

Private Drawing and Painting Lessons That Come to You

Every lesson is one-on-one, which means the instruction is built around the student — not a room full of people at different skill levels. We travel directly to your home, bringing every supply needed, and sessions run one hour. You can schedule weekly or bi-weekly depending on what works for your family or your own schedule. Lessons are open to students ages 5 and up, including adults who have never picked up a pencil for anything more artistic than a grocery list.

This is structured instruction, not just free-form art time. Students work through a real curriculum that builds on itself session after session.

What Students Learn Each Session

The curriculum moves through drawing fundamentals and composition first, then progresses through mediums — pencil, pastel, watercolor, and acrylics. Students aren’t just making pictures; they’re developing skills that carry over into other areas of life. Kids especially build motor coordination, self-expression, and problem-solving ability through regular practice. Adults find that working through the same foundations gives them real confidence and a much clearer eye for composition than they expected to develop so quickly.

Art Classes for Children and Adults in Miami

For kids starting as young as five, lessons support creative and cognitive development in ways that feel fun rather than academic. There’s real confidence that comes from finishing a drawing or completing a painting — especially for children who don’t think of themselves as “artistic.” For adults, the starting point is wherever you are. No previous experience, no specific skill level required. Whether you live in Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Kendall, or anywhere else in Miami-Dade, the pace is always set by the student — not the calendar.

A Mobile Art Instructor Serving Miami Neighborhoods

One of the real advantages of a mobile format in a city like Miami is that you never have to factor in a drive. We serve neighborhoods throughout Miami-Dade, including Coconut Grove, Palmetto Bay, Doral, Cutler Bay, South Miami, and the Homestead area. Whatever part of town you’re in, we bring everything needed to set up and get started — there’s nothing you need to buy, borrow, or have ready before we arrive. Just clear a table and we’ll handle the rest.

Painting Parties and Group Events in Miami

Beyond private lessons, we also bring the party to you. Our mobile painting events are perfect for birthdays, date nights, anniversaries, team-building gatherings, or really any occasion where you want people to leave with something they actually made. We come to your home, backyard, or chosen venue, and we handle all the setup. Every guest gets their own stretched canvas to paint on — something they can take home and hang on the wall.

Sessions run two to three hours, and we can accommodate groups of up to 50 people. Guests choose from a selection of painting themes, and colors can be customized at no additional charge. We’ve hosted events all across Miami for everything from kids’ birthday parties in West Kendall to corporate team-building nights in Doral. One thing worth knowing: we ask that events be booked at least two weeks in advance, and reserve deposits are non-refundable if canceled. The earlier you lock in a date, the better — weekends especially fill up fast.

Getting Started Is Easy

Booking your first lesson doesn’t require any prep work or commitment beyond reaching out. Call us at (305) 771-0595 or send an email to artexpressions22@gmail.com, and we’ll talk through scheduling, your student’s age and experience level, and what days work best. Whether you’re in The Hammocks, Coconut Grove, or anywhere in between, we’ll find a time and show up ready to teach. The first step really is just saying hello.
